About this deal

When you have mined the required resources, you may use an Action on your turn to trade them in and get the card out of reserve. Place it with your other crafted cards.

The Minecraft card game is much easier to play than you might think. However, at first glance, it can look not very clear. This is because there are many cards included, similar to classic board games like Clue or Monopoly, so before we look at the rules, let’s outline the various cards. Resource Cards When a player mines a card and removes it from a pile, if they expose a Creeper card beneath it then ALL PLAYERS must discard a resource card of their choice. The Creeper card is then placed in the discard pile.Creeper: If a player exposes a Creeper card when taking a card from the resource pile, all players must discard a resource card of their choice into the discard pile. The Creeper card is then placed into the discard pile. Skip card – This card can only be played on a card of similar color or symbol (another Skip). When you play this card, the next player loses their turn, and play moves on to the following player, who must then match your Skip card with a card of the same color, or another Skip card. If turned up at the start of the game, the first player becomes “skipped” and loses his/her turn. Wild cards have a number allocated to them as well. So, for example, a wild two-card can be used as two of any resource. However, the resources can’t be split, so they cannot be used as one stone and one diamond.

This brings me to those that aren’t fans of Minecraft. As a fan of Minecraft myself, I can only guess how a non-fan would feel about the game. Clearly a fan of the video game will get quite a bit more out of the game than someone who only has a general idea of the game. Familiarity with the video game will certainly help, but I don’t know if it is totally necessary to enjoy the game. Those not familiar with the video game may take a little longer to understand the concept. It doesn’t help that two of the resource types look pretty similar for those who aren’t familiar with the game. The game is simple enough and the gameplay is fun enough on its own that I still think you could get some enjoyment out of the Minecraft Card Game? even if you don’t have much interest in the video game. When you have used the tool's power, flip the Craft Card face down to show you have used the tool. You may use the tool's power only once, but the points on the card STILL COUNT. Throughout the game, players can take numerous actions to earn points, and the player who reaches the points goal first will win. There are multiple actions players can take, but the game is all about resource management and crafting. If you choose to mine a Resource Card as an action, take 1 resource card from the top of one of the five Resource Card Piles and place it in front of you. For the TNT or Creeper cards, you take different steps (more on that later). That is not to say that the Minecraft Card Game? is a strategy filled game. Instead it feels like your typical card game with a few more mechanics added in to add a little more strategy. In a lot of ways the game is similar to a lot of simple card games. Your decisions on any given turn are usually pretty obvious. Therefore you can play the game without putting a ton of thought into every individual decision. There are some points in the game where the decision you make will have an impact on the outcome though. I could actually see the game working pretty well as a gateway game. It is far from the best game that I have ever played, but I still enjoyed playing it and could see a lot of other people liking it as well. The Minecraft card games take the sandbox video game’s fun adventure gameplay and transform it into a creative card game. Every player will have to carefully mine, craft, and reserve materials to win the game. Second, you have the TNT card; this explosive card must be used straight away if it’s mined. When used, you must remove the four cards from the other resource piles. You can keep two of the cards and must discard the others. Points are scored as per the scoring system below, by adding up all the card values from the other players. Shuffle all the Resource Cards (Wood, Stone, Iron, Gold, Diamond, Wild, Creeper and TNT). Next, deal them FACE DOWN into 5 piles of 15 cards each. Then turn each pile OVER so that all the cards in each pile are now FACE UP. Draw Two card – This card can only be played on a same color card or another Draw Two card. When you play this card, the next player must draw two cards from the Draw pile and miss their turn. If turned up at the start of play, the first player must draw two cards and skip their turn.
