About this deal

The Nintendo Switch continues to be a massive hit more than six years after its launch. It's a console that's perfect for use at home or when you're on the go. One of the cleverest elements of the Switch's design are the Joy-Con--detachable controllers that amplify the hybrid nature of this hardware. That detachable focus also gives the Switch a highly-customizable format, one that Nintendo has capitalized on over the years with special-edition console bundles and unique controller color schemes. Sheesh I've bought so many Split Pads from Hori, from Eevee to Sonic to Mario you name it. I'd be lying if I said I'm not tempted by these. One really impressive detail in this case is that it has a soft barrier resting against the top of the Switch console that keeps pressure off the Compact's shoulder buttons on either side. They really did think of everything.

The left and right Joy-Cons are modelled after Master Sword and Hylian Shield respectively, to mimic how the Joy-Cons will function when played in motion-controller mode. With the release of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom just around the corner, accessory maker Hori has announced a brand new line of products. Experience the immersive world of the Legend of Zelda: skyward Sword HD, with this set of specially-designed Joy-Con controllers. Nonetheless, I actually need a new case (compact specific) so I'll likely get this new white TotK one, looks pretty decent When he’s not paying off a loan to Tom Nook, Liam likes to report on the latest Nintendo news and admire his library of video games. His favourite Nintendo character used to be a guitar-playing dog, but nowadays he prefers to hang out with Judd the cat.Anyway, the Split Pad Compact case I have is the white tomtoc one. Really clean and slim design with a high-quality zipper. Definitely an option if you'd rather have a low-profile case. Those TotK ones are nice, but they're pouches. They have unnecessary bulk unless you plan on carrying a lot of your Switch stuff in them. Experience the immersive world of The Legend of Zelda™: Skyward Sword HD, with this set of specially-designed Joy-Con™ controllers. The right Joy-Con controller is themed after the Master Sword, while the left features a Hylian Shield motif.

Without motion, hd rumble or NFC it's really pointless to use them in TotK since the game really uses those features. You'll be giving yourself a lesser experience. I think I prefer Power-A controllers to Hori, but these are pretty neat. I like my Pac-Man Split Pad Pro, although it feels like it's made of cheap plastic, and there's a small gap on the sides that pinch and chafe the palms of your hands. Not very comfortable. I'd be curious to try out whatever that thing on the far-right is. Basically their Split Pad Pro but slimmer and seemingly more comfortable-looking. I've seen some of them in stores recently in just a generic solid color, but this is the first themed one I've seen.

InJeffable Yes the link you just sent is the one I'm looking at. The all-white looks really fresh, and will really suit the white/yellow compact joycons I already have from HORI.

How to re-watch the iPhone 15 Apple event "Wonderlust" — iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, Apple Watch Series 9, Ultra 2 A nice collection though. I only have the Switch itself but i might buy a wired gamepad. A cheap one probably. There are many nice ones from Power A with different pictures. Hard to choose just one. I understand why people might want to connect them. MetalKingShield Hori Split pad, they've been out in other colours for at least six months. it's the same thing, just smaller. Not_Soos I have AC Switch. The joy cons are kinda pastel. I think they match the promotional image on the box, and that they look nice. I wouldn't consider them dingy. InJeffable - yeh that is a solid point actually. I travel for work, and rely on my Switch to get me through 1-2hr flights - and I never ever fear that the battery will collapse in that time. You're right that gyro/rumble features would likely be a drain on this...As for the pro controller, I ditched that thing for the 8bitdo Ultimate for a while now… it puts the pro to shame.

Can be connected to the main console for use in the handheld mode, or shared with friends to enjoy two-player action in supported games CJD87 I would happily swallow a 20% price increase as well, but I doubt it would be only 20%. One of the neat things about the Split Pad Compact and Pro as they are is that they draw such a small amount of power that they're powered by the Switch itself with no noticeable drain. If you start adding more components, you're going to have too much of a draw on the Switch's battery, meaning that each individual Compact or Pro unit would need to have a rechargeable battery. So, you've got rumble, gyro, and a rechargeable battery added to each unit. My guess is that the increase in cost would be closer to 50%. I just wish HORI would invest the R&D into making exactly the same product, but with rumble/gyro. Considering the quality of HORI products, I'd happily swallow a 20% increase on the RRP to have those functionalities. In total for Switch, I own a standard Pro Controller; wireless Hori Sonic; Pac-Man Split Pad Pro; Power-A wireless Mario Bros. 3 and Twilight Princess; and Power-A wired Super Mario Bros., Kirby, and Metroid Dread. I also have Joy-Con in grey, OLED white, blue Skyward Sword edition, and two pairs of Animal Crossing ones I never use." The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword was the last console Zelda game released before The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Skyward Sword took full use of the Wii's motion controls using the Wii Motion Plus adapter. This means motion controls for Skyward Sword were more sophisticated than the Wii port of Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, which utilized waggles versus full motion controls.I'm 99% sure I want to get that, but would you rate it and recommend? (assuming this is the one you have) The only negatives for me with the Compact is that they have no rumble/gyro (same negatives as the larger Hori pads) Experience the immersive world of The Legend of Zelda™: Skyward Sword HD, with this set of specially-designed Joy-Con™ controllers. Not_Soos that'd be the Split Pad Fit/Comfort. I've been using one for my Switch for 6 months and haven't taken it off. Feels really great and definitely recommended if you can take not having gyro/vibration. Custom Nintendo Switch Bunny Dreams Joy-Cons by GTZ x IlustraKarla “Designer Edition” Controller Mods
