About this deal

He compares it to hair growth. We don’t usually notice our hair growing day by day, but it is. And after a month, you’ll see it’s a bit longer. Then after several months, it’s time for a haircut. While the full scope of this variant’s effects is not currently elucidated, it is associated with decreased glutathione synthesis. Therefore, it is likely a mechanism in which the enzymatic activity of GCLC is affected [ 60]. According to Dr Nemchek, symptoms in autism are related to bacterial overgrowth in the gut, which leads to systemic inflammation in the body, ultimately causes altered immune cell response in the brain. How it works in Autism? I mentioned in the previous update that I was considering switching to the NOW fish oil, and I did. It didn’t make me nauseous at all, and I’m getting higher doses of EPA, so it’s a win! Now that you know this - can we review that is wrong? I told my doctor about this and whilst she wasn't raving about it she also didn't tell me i should not add EVOO or stop giving him omega 3, why? because even normal vitamins for kids contain omega 3 and there is nothing wrong in taking them. Prebiotics are naturally occurring in things like porridge and bananas - so nothing weird here either.

It’s funny. I remember reading testimonials from others who were 6 months to a year into it and thinking: Precision medicine tools open the horizon to targeting an individual’s molecular vulnerabilities. This allows for the utilization of targeted interventions of natural products or repurposed pharmaceuticals as personalized interventions. This strategy is commonly used in cancer drug design. While this article focuses on the benefits of genomic medicine for ASD, the same rationale and approach can be applied across the board to chronic illnesses. The underlying principle of this approach is that interventions are targeted to underlying genomic and molecular pathways rather than a diagnosis. It’s organic and sourced from blue agave with no fillers or preservatives. I just mix it in about a cup of water and drink it, but you can also add it to applesauce, oatmeal, yogurt, whatever. As good news, constipation is a thing of the past! I can tell this protocol has been great for keeping things moving, which goes a long way to avoiding the toxin buildup that I struggled with before.

8 Month Update: Continuing the Fight Against SIBO

Some products or services, claiming to be cures or treatments for autism, are fake or can be harmful. I’m not going to dig too deep into what SIBO is because if you’re reading this, you probably already know. Well, it’s been 3 months now, and there have been a lot of changes! At the beginning of September, I finally got a prescription for Rifaximin (Xifaxan). I had some pretty crazy “steroid rage” while on it, which is weird because it’s an antibiotic, but no other side effects other than that. Research into the following approaches has not shown any benefit for autistic people and they are not recommended: GSTP1 encodes one of the glutathione transferase enzymes. This enzyme is involved in the attachment of toxins, carcinogens, and drugs to a reduced glutathione molecule.

At this point, I’m considering switching from Nordic Naturals fish oil to NOW DHA capsules because the latter has more EPA, which is really important for adults. As for the extra virgin olive oil, I’m still at 2 tablespoons, which is what Dr. Nemechek recommends.Rather than working directly to increase levels of SHANK3 protein or affect stability, oxytocin is one such molecule that appears to work on downstream pathways such as long-term potentiation [ 35]. Increasing long-term potentiation (LTP) in multiple areas of the brain, including the hippocampus, has been shown to stimulate dendrite maturation and connectivity [ 36]. Decreased dendrite maturation is one of the possible downstream issues in individuals with SHANK3 deficiencies [ 9]. Due to its effects on LTP and its differential expression in the brain, oxytocin was also shown to decrease LTP-mediated pain hypersensitivity, often seen in individuals with ASD [ 36, 37]. Changing your diet to a cleaner one is very helpful and can give you great gains, but those gains eventually plateau because diet alone doesn’t solve the root issue, which is a bacterial imbalance. Parents around the world have been using this protocol with great success for their autistic children.

Nemechek makes the claim autism is the result of vaccinations like Andrew Wakefield and J. F. Hardley, he claims another cause is "Small Intestine Bacterial Overgrowth" (SIBO), and that autism has nothing to do with genes. We have overwhelming evidence that proves his claims false, and we know there is no known cause of autism. The National Institute of Health and Care Excellence (NICE) will only recommend something if there is good evidence that it benefits autistic people. All supplements used with the protocol are natural, making them safe and inexpensive while being highly effective.

But there’s also hope for those of us battling SIBO, as this protocol focuses on restoring bacterial balance. Information on SHANK3 was curated from the peer-reviewed scientific literature to determine the function of both the gene and the effect the particular single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) found in these cases creates. There is a very helpful Facebook group that you can join – https://www.facebook.com/groups/TheAdultNemechekSupportGroup/ The treatment is a two-step process that aims to rebalance intestinal bacteria and omega fatty acids that allows the child’s brain to heal and function properly. The approach insists on cooking with extra-virgin olive oil and using insulin and omega-3 fatty acid supplements into a child’s regimen. All supplements used are within the protocol and are natural; making them safe and inexpensive while being very effective. Autism is where your brain develops differently to non-autistic people. It is not an illness and there is no cure.

A significant challenge with genomic medicine lies in translating an individual’s genomics into an action plan, a patient-centered personalized medicine response. To accomplish this, the first step is to understand how the gene variants identified in an individual’s genomic profile work on a molecular systems level. Then, it must be determined if there is a way to intervene in a genomically targeted fashion. Understanding the relevant molecular biology is paramount for developing clinical intervention strategies to target the variants’ function, pathways, and gene–gene interactions. The various cofactors, regulators, and enzymes that degrade encoded proteins can be considered for therapeutic intervention. As for my food sensitivities, my lymph nodes still swell a little but NO where near as bad. That round of rifaximin was a game-changer for that, along with the severe bloating. I’m 2 months past just 1 round of it, and I’m still showing little to no signs of SIBO. I think hitting the full dose of EVOO and DHA is keeping the SIBO at bay as the autonomic nervous system heals. So far, I can tell you that my bloating and gas flared up the first 2 days after taking inulin. I didn’t react at all to the oils.I’ve lost over 25 pounds since my SIBO and autoimmune conditions first flared up. I didn’t have any weight to spare as I’ve always been very petite, so this weight loss put me in a dangerous place. I am not a fan, however, of its claim that it can “reverse autism.” Its recommendations do not appear to stem from evidence-based science, relying on what seem to be anecdotes to make its case. I’m all for giving our kiddos supplements, but you don’t need to buy a book to do that. If you haven’t already heard or read the research, the gut is often called our “second brain.” There is an undeniable link between gut health and brain health, which is why such incredible results can be had when you focus on restoring and balancing these two areas. This variant is suggested to increase TCN1 expression, which is associated with lower vitamin B12 levels. This is due to TCN1 carrying 80–90% of serum B12, with the rest being carried by TCN2 to the brain and other organs. Upregulation of TCN1 lowers the B12 available for TCN2 [ 59]. I hope this information helped you a bit today. Have a question? Ask it in the comments, and I’ll be sure to answer! Updated Dr. Nemechek Protocol review
