About this deal

Put on protective gloves (those latex ones like dentists use are perfect). Henna STAINS everything — if it gets on your skin, your skin will be orange for a day or two. If it gets on the floor, the floor will be also. Eventually it goes away, but if you can’t deal with stains err on the side of caution. Take your time! It takes me 30 mins for a full application to shoulder length hair and I have a lot of practice. Keep it on for the full 2 hours for the best result.

I don’t like the one-size-fits-all instructions that accompany all the products regardless of whether they are dyes or treatments, which have some things in common but not all. They leave it up to the consumer to decide whether or not a step is applicable to the product they are using. Sometimes this is easy to do — with other steps, not so much. I found the Henna Color Lab Wine Red henna quite by accident. I absolutely LOVE the color, and get lots of compliments…some from creepy old men who stalk me in the store to comment on my sassy shade, but hey. This was the first time i've used henna dye. In keeping with the titular promise, this produced a prime natural-looking warm red on me from my actually-natural ashy and uninspiring medium brown hair. To vivify the red, I mixed the henna paste with two bags of steeped red rooibos tea instead of coffee and added lavender essential oil, but otherwise followed the instructions. The color is lovely, a much-needed injection of depth, dimension, and follicular personality. I'm emboldened enough that next time i think i'll try mixing wine red and natural red for a slightly more intense shade. Henna is kind to hair, and fades out after a dozen or so washes, so it is a way to cover up greys or give yourself a new look.My only concern is that two weeks later, my hair still bleeds a lot in the shower (it seems to be fading very slightly each time, no biggie, I expected it). But what I don’t like is that my wet hair stains anything it touches. I prefer to let my hair air-dry, so laying my head on a pillow while still wet is now off-limits or I have a big orange stain on my pillowcase. Maybe most people blow dry their hair, but I prefer to go to bed with it damp, so it’s definitely been an inconvenience that I did not expect :/ Bleach and preservatives free – we take pride in providing you 100% natural heena powder for hair which is free of bleach, preservatives, chemicals, ppd, synthetic dyes, additional colors. so it's completely safe and gives natural looking brown color to your hair. its triple shifted fine powder for ease of mixing with water and other herbal powders / herbs such as bhrin... It comes as a henna powder, to which you add hot water to make a paste. Once you have done a patch test for allergies and smeared your hairline with something protective, such as a rich skin cream to prevent the colour from getting on your skin, you are good to go and work the cream into your hair.

Additionally, dying the beard using henna is considered sunnah in Islamic tradition – practices of the Islamic prophet Muhammad that are used as a model for Muslims to follow.

Rewards For Life

Anyway, after stripping as much of the color as I could for a few weeks, I decided I wanted to try something different. I got the wine red henna hair dye and hoped it would even out my hair and give me a much-needed mood boost. To continue our commitment to reduce single use plastic, your henna will no longer come with plastic gloves. Please protect your hands with some trusty reusable rubber gloves.
