About this deal

The big difference in most of the models is the size of the bore for the IEM nozzle. Generally you want a tip that’s easy to get on, but not TOO easy to make sure that you have a tight secure fit. The more secure the fit, the better your isolation will be, but if you go with something that’s too snug you’ll risk damaging the eartips when you take them on or off. Customers are to bear the consequences and fees incurred, if the parcel was undelivered due to any of the following situation: SpinFit claim their double-flange tip to offer ‘triple-flange’ isolation. However, Etymotic’s triple-flange eartips generally offered superior levels of noise isolation when compared to SpinFit’s model. With that said, the SpinFit double flange tip was far superior in comfort and it was surprisingly unobtrusive in prolonged listening sessions. With the easy 360 o rotation, the SpinFit ear tips were perhaps the easiest silicone eartips to install and remove from any in-ear monitor nozzle. Third-party eartips are one of those things that you end up with a large collection of as you fall deeper into audiophilia. The reason is quite simple: universal earphones (i.e. non-custom IEMs) require fiddling with the tips more often than not. Moreover, eartips are just about the cheapest (and often most reproducible) way of tuning an earphone. So we all end up with boxes of eartips of our own, sooner or later. In this review, I will be discussing the Simgot EM6L, comparing it with the Xenns Mangird Top and QKZ HBB Khan. I have tested the EM6L using the Moondrop Moonriver 2 Ti and Fiio Q3 Dac Amp.

Fitting earphone nozzles: the first problem for the novice is – and it certainly was for me – to find the right SpinFit model to fit a particular earphone. First, one has to select the right diameter of the inner stem so that the SpinFit is being held safely in place. As a rule of thumb, most earphones have a nozzle diameter of 4.5 mm so that the CP145 is the most universal model for initial tip rolling. Everything else is the same as on “normal” silicone eartips, which is also why the SpinFit tips are so great: you get all the pros (good isolation, washability and basically eternal durability, wide compatibility) with none of the cons. The AZ70 has a neutral sound with the original ear tips. With CP360 ear tips, the bass improves in the meat which makes the AZ70 a little more enjoyable. SpinFit CP500

I did a comparison on the Sennheiser IE300 with the CP100+ and CP360. My ears detected the following characteristics: SpinFit eartips have been one of our favorites here since first trying out a pair that was bundled with the DUNU Luna. The main appeal is that they have the comfortability of silicone tips, but provide a better seal than the average silicone tip due to their namesake patented swivel technology. Basically, there is a joint near the top of the eartip (the part inserted into your ear) which enables it to bend and conform more completely to the shape of your inner ear.

SpinFit’s double-flange tips offer further levels of sound isolation with an even superior seal compared to the flange tips. Again, they are a good fit for poorly isolating in-ear monitors without compromising on comfort during prolonged listening sessions. CP100+ Ear Tips SpinFit’s tips are an excellent addition to an audiophile’s inventory with real sonic improvements, exceptional ergonomics and a transparent delineation of sound. The SpinFit silicone tips especially excel in texturing & resolve of the bass, articulacy of the midrange and a detailed yet restraint treble section. While the SpinFit silicone tips do not provide the most bass impact or authority, they offer a higher level of refinement compared to the Symbio W, Shure Olive & Final Audio E-tips. The Symbio W hybrid tips offer the most contrast here with a more impactful bass and energetic treble. However, the SpinFit tips really master the treble with detail and control that the other silicone tips do not possess. The SpinFit CP100+ uses upgraded medical grade silicon with SpinFit's patented swivel technology design to provide incredible comfort and a consistent seal. The upgraded materials help provide stronger bass and treble response. The CP100+ has a 4mm opening and is compatible with a large range of IEMs.

SpinFit CP155

Another effect on the sound I find that SpinFits can have is a slight boost and opening up of the upper mids region. Instruments like trumpets, clarinets and flutes can become more prominent and forward. Depending on the tips you are coming from, it can have a slight increase in the perceived soundstage as well. On top of that, you can tell from the graph below that the CP100/CP100+ have slightly higher peaks in the lower treble as compared to regular foam tips as well.

The CP145 is just a hair larger than the CP100 at 4.5mm, and is otherwise nearly identical. If you primarily use IEMs with larger eartips but want some flexibility to use them with smaller nozzles, the CP145 will still fit securely on most models while being more accommodating of the wider nozzled IEMs. While the CP100 fits on the Empire Ears line of IEMs, it generally is a little tough to get on, while the CP155 and CP500 don’t provide a snug fit. The CP145 came in just in between with a perfect fit.

Eartips do make a difference in our listening experience. They may not always have an influence on sound, but they do change the way you wear your earphones and this makes all the difference between listening to music while being comfortable and doing so while swearing against the pain in your ears. The SpinFit line-up is quite complete and gives you a lot of choice to get the eartips that better suit your needs, from very deep insertion to a very shallow one. All of them offer a great level of comfort, thanks to the soft silicone and to the incredibly clever design SpinFit came up with. SpinFit eartips are a game changer and can completely change (in a very positive way) the way you experience your favourite earphones. The trebles on the EM6L are really well extended. They are very airy and detailed. However, the detailed trebles come with their cons too. As such, the EM6L is a bit sibilant. It also doesn't compare to the Xenns Top, which has very well extended, extremely detailed, and quality trebles but presents them in a controlled and smooth manner. Hence, it is not fatiguing or overwhelming during long sessions. The Top also has better technicality and separations than the EM6L or the Khan by a huge margin (understandably as they belong in different price ratios). So the trebles sound better on the Xenns Top. The EM6L sometimes sounds fatiguing and piercing with treble-heavy songs.

CP360 and CP1025 are designed for TWS earphones. CP360 is designed to provide a deeper fit, while CP1025 is more shallow. While both will fit on most TWS earphones, some charging cases may not be compatible with the CP360. CP1025 is also available with adapters for Apple AirPods Pro and Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro. As for the V2, well, it is a little loose. As a result, there is a tendency that the CP360 stays in the ears when you remove the earbuds. For that, I would not recommend using it with the CP360. However, if you insist on using, the CP360 can fit in the charging case. SpinFit CP360 ear tips with Creative Outlier Air V2 It is impressive the quality of refinement the SpinFit tips are able to extract from the top-end. This is likely owing to its ability to create an effective seal and direct frequencies straight towards the eardrum. Synergy & PairingThe CP240 has a wide bore and fits comfortably on larger nozzles, but it also comes with a selection of adapters that allow it to fit snugly on smaller nozzles as well.
