Sodium Hyaluronate: Also known as hyaluronic acid, this popular skincare ingredient is a natural component of skin that is found between skin cells and helps to plump up the skin and moisturize it. Trying the COSRX low pH cleanser gave me high expectations of COSRX cleansers, so I decided to try the Advanced Snail Mucin Gel Cleanser too! I’m on the last bits of the tube now, so I feel more than ready to share my honest opinions about the product.
It left my skin feeling really dry during the first few weeks of use and it also felt like it sort of aggravated my acne. I later found out that was because I added a number of new products all at once, but still it was one of those new products. Bought this as I am a big fan of CosRX’s snail mucin essence. I haven’t noticed much of a difference, I use this more as a preventative measure. It comes in a pump that’s easy to control, it spreads and absorbs easily. This is a lot for an eye product and will last quite a while. Snail Secretion Filtrate, Betaine, Butylene Glycol, 1,2-Hexanediol, Sodium Hyaluronate, Panthenol, Arginine, Allantoin, Ethyl Hexanediol, Sodium Polyacrylate, Carbomer, Phenoxyethanol. It moisturizes well, so it works great in my evening skincare routine, but I have used it under my makeup with great results, too.

Betaine: Betaine is a humectant and amino acid derived from sugar beets that moisturizes while treating flaky, dry skin. It is an osmolyte, which is a compound that helps protect skin cells against stress.
The COSRX snail mucin cleanser is marketed as a “specially formulated gel cleanser enriched with skin beneficial ingredients to hydrate and protect the skin.”. The slimy texture may unappealing to some. If you get past the gooey, stringy texture, you can appreciate how hydrating and soothing this K-Beauty moisturizer is!
