Audio quality of the OLED55C7V is above average by flat-panel TV standards. Dialogue is clear, and there’s sufficient dynamic range to satisfy day-to-day viewing. However, for enjoyment of movies, a separate soundbar or home theatre system is still better. While the television can decode Dolby Atmos, it currently doesn’t work on Dolby TrueHD streams from 4K Blu-rays.

The most widely used panels are those with 6, 8, and 10 bits for each of the RGB components of the pixel. They provide 18-, 24-, and 30-bit color, respectively. LG still isn’t quite as assured with its HD upscaling as Samsung and, especially, Sony, but the gap has certainly been greatly reduced. So much so that many people will likely not consider it an issue worth worrying about when considered in the context of all the excellent other picture qualities the OLED55C7 delivers. Have a play with the TruMotion settings, too. Everyone responds a little differently to motion-processing, but we can't imagine many will approve of the C7’s quite aggressive defaults. While the first three are available directly out of the box, the last will be added through a software update in the near future.Comparing the OLED55C7V beside the OLED55B7 in my test room, I was able to reproduce the same processing quirks on both displays.
