It is laminate wood so do not expect pine or some other solid wood. However it is still a great little kitchen, very sturdy, lots of cupboard space and my 2yr old daughter loves playing with it.' Bought for my daughters 6th birthday, took approx 3 hours to build with 1 person, instructions are slightly difficult to understand but repetitive so not so bad once you get the hang of it. It’s not as tall as I thought and the accessories you get with it is deceiving as the utensils are very small. No play food is included which is unfortunate but the difference to this kitchen is the ice dispenser which was something I’d not seen on any others and my daughter loves that feature too.'
