About this deal

Chuck saw it all happen, probably in slow motion - and i saw him turn white as a ghost – and Chuck was pretty darn white to begin with! There's a very soft but pronounced muskyness with a very thin green tone underneath, that wraps the whole composition, this musky blanket is the soul of great BRUT. OMG when I was in my late teens, early twenties, guys wore this, my boyfriend wore this you wanted to ravish them! A fragrance with almost half a century behind it that continues to fight to maintain its privileged place in the world of perfumery.

It holds an olfactory history for many men, but is slowly fading as few are brave enough to wear this in public these days. Make sure you have your tracking reference number to hand (available on your dispatch confirmation e-mail) and follow the online instructions. It is powdery, vanila, moss, sandalwood (powdery and buttery), patchouli, tonka bean, slight hints of jasmine still lingering, and the musk is now calmed to a smooth finish.

The expensive designer and niche scents still have a place in my collection, but these three are the forever scents. However my curiosity got the better of me,l ran out and grabbed a bottle of Brut aftershave and deodorant to go along with my EDT when it arrives.

It's meant to be an EDT but it feels more like an EDC and I believe this is because of the reformulation. When he was away at college, he would spray his letters to me with it, and I would spray my letters to him with Chantilly. The truth is that there are two manufacturers for Brut now and the B original Fabarge is the one they get in Europe and I can't remember which company produces the American one.

I'm trying to imagine what I must have smelled like on Christmas day as I sauntered to my best friends house to check out what Santa had brought for him because I really did splash it all over.

One guy said in one of his reviews, that his girlfriend told him, that this smells better than everything else he owns. It's been a long since Brut is not in people taste, so I will grab a bottle and wear it, if someone ask I will say it's something from Amouage or Creed or something really expensive. Brut EDT: To clarify for readers, this is still marketed as a "Parfums Prestige" product, despite Unilever deleting "Parfums Prestige" from the front and back of the box. Brut is one of my favorite scents and always will be, I remember using the aftershave splash on a while back I'd throw it around me before a night out, and it always held up well.

My only experience with Brut previously was the long neck plastic bottle splash which is a very different product than this. I first started wearing it at 12 years and, albeit I choose the expensive fragrances for social events, I still find very little compares to the freshness of the Brut smell especially for work. That being said, the medallion bottles of the lotion from the seventies and eighties are remarkable. I can tell that time has had its way with the materials used in the formula, because there is a twinge of an unbalanced note structure in the top and early drydown, where the musky citrus and coumarin don't want to play nice with the earthier green notes, but within a minute after application that all smooths out and any unpleasantness goes away. Brut simply put is that eternal classic fragrance that has marked many a person's life, through perhaps a father, a friend, a teacher or a coach.
