Incredible stories from the NINJAGO®: Seabound TV series can be played out by kids with this highly detailed Water Dragon (71754) playset. It's a fairly basic set, but then this is entry-level LEGO Ninjago, and it does that job extremely confidently. The curving tiles create a nice sense of flowing currents, while also reminding me of dragon scales. She also has two launchable bolt pieces for her hands, and a back support for attaching water elements to. The set’s contents are pretty easy to pick out, with the Water Dragon getting central placement and the mini-sub, pedestal, and minifigures spread around the edges. Yet again, the Danish toy company gives your mini me the chance to use their imagination and play out their very own version of their favourite Seabound TV series; and not only that, they get to partake in fantasy action where they can join forces with their ninja heroes to defend NINJAGO City. Overall the designers did a good job in keeping the mini-subs distinctive, but still obviously part of the same fleet. This is a pretty common design choice for Ninjago dragons, so I guess the wiggly tail is just an undocumented play feature. I would like to see a model that conceals them more effectively without compromising mobility too much. Again, my son was more than happy with the final model and my critical eye was better satisfied with the body of the creature this time, as I felt the more regal upright pose offered something different from previous dragons.
