About this deal

The other side of the disc is stupidly wasted, filled up with the same video only that side "B" features LPCM stereo sound!

Buckingham originally wanted less overlap in the track listing between The Dance and their 1981 live album. And this concert is on a DVD so I can play in over and over again without wearing it out - the quality stays the same as the day I first played it.

The best part of it when of the ending of the concert was the USC Marching Band performing with the group with "TUSK" and "DON'T STOP", a highlight.

Some lovely close ups of Lindsey Buckingham's nimble fingers plucking the strings of his guitar and the sound of Mic. Since tapes don't last, I bought the DVD recently and found several songs on it that weren't aired on TV - a great bonus! The performance of Say You Love Me featured Buckingham playing banjo and bassist John McVie doing a muted backing vocal. It was one thing led to another, and suddenly there we were in the studio saying, "Gee, this feels pretty good. I usually have to go back and listen to several of the numbers again after the last song has finished. His guitar work is amazing, proving he is one of the best and most underrated guitarists of all time.

No need to put the same modest quality video TWICE on one disc, space would have been plenty for sound and less compressed, higher quality video ! I loved the dvd so much, I bought the cd to play in the car and to download onto my phone and Kindle, and the sound through headphones I would say is even better. Eyes of the World" was played instead of "Second Hand News" on opening night in Hartford, Connecticut. Finally, the group's admirers will have a unique portrait of what made Mick and the rest of the group tick in the midst of their massive success and personal trials. Even the sort of Romper Room feel of Christine's, I suppose 'pure' Mac, ditties sort of grow on you (like Temporary One) - I'd never heard those either.Unlike 1980's Live, which was a collection of live recordings over a series of 60 shows, The Dance was recorded in one night, albeit with good isolation to allow for overdubs. They stayed on to play on Don't Stop, the first time the band had ever attempted the song with a brass section.

The concert was recorded for Fleetwood Mac's MTV The Dance special at Warner Brothers Studios in Burbank, California, and features the University of Southern California Marching Band who perform on the tracks " Tusk" (having played on the original studio recording) and " Don't Stop". But, despite all the trouble the bandmates have shared, they came together for this reunion in 1997 for this spectacular performance.

Does not appear on the CD, but was released as a B-side of " Silver Springs" and as a standalone digital single. At first I thought this should be a more eclectic collection, with different songs that were a little more surprising. The band wasn't even suppose to have Nicks, but they wa nted Lindsey Buckingham and she was his girlfriend at the time and he would not come into it without her.
